Finchwerks Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Finchwerks Email Assistant?
The Finchwerks Email Assistant is an advanced security layer we’ve integrated into your email workflow. It uses sophisticated behavioral analysis and computer vision to identify phishing attempts, brand impersonations, and malicious content that traditional filters often miss.
Why am I seeing banners at the top of my emails?
These banners are real-time security alerts. Our system analyzes every incoming message to provide you with a clear visual “seal of approval” or a warning. This helps you make safer decisions before you click a link or download an attachment.
What do the different banner colors mean?
We use a simple traffic-light system to help you gauge risk at a glance:
-
Gray/White: The email appears safe and has passed our standard authentication checks.
-
Yellow: Caution. Something about the email is unusual—such as a first-time sender or a domain that looks similar to a known brand.
-
Red: Danger. This email has been flagged as a known threat or a high-probability phishing attempt.
What should I do if I see a Yellow banner?
Exercise extra care. Verify the sender’s identity through a different channel (like a quick chat or phone call) if the email asks for sensitive information or wire transfers. If you aren’t expecting the message, it’s best to treat it with skepticism.
What should I do if I see a Red banner?
We strongly recommend not interacting with the email. Do not click any links, open attachments, or reply. Our system allows these through in some cases so you are aware the threat exists, but they should generally be deleted or reported immediately.
What does the “Report This Email” link do?
When you click Report This Email, you are sending a direct signal to our security team. This feedback helps refine the underlying AI, making the protection stronger for everyone in the Finchwerks network.
Why did a "Security Fence" page appear when I clicked a link?
If you click a link that our system identifies as potentially malicious, we intercept the request and show a warning page. This “Phish Fence” acts as a final safety net to prevent your credentials or device from being compromised.
